I recently had the opportunity to receive, for review, some items from the company Bagsmart who pride themselves in selling good quality bags of all shapes, sizes and colours.
At first, I picked out the Blast Duo Set that bundled together the 40L Blast Pro Backpack and Blast 43L Roller Backpack however, due to stock of Oyster Coloured Roller Backpacks running low, they offered to swap it with their Packing Cubes. This was a little disappointing at the time because I was hoping to replace my suitcase with the Roller Backpack.
I then received their Blue 40L Blast Pro Backpack with Rose Dawn coloured Travel Packing Cubes.
What I expected in the bag
- Take travelling with clothes, toiletry bag and shoes
- Not to be clunky
- Easy to travel with
- Have lots of pockets
- Able to fit my laptop, lunchbag and water bottle
- Stylish or professional
- Take to the library for studying; books and laptop
Delivery and unpacking
The package arrived very quickly. I was impressed by the speed of delivery and the size of the package. They were securely packaged and the opening experience was exciting.
Using the backpack and findings
The backpack bag was larger than I expected. It was too big to take to the library with my study materials. However, it ended up being the perfect replacement for my old suitcase.
The 40L Blast Pro Backpack was the same dimensions as my old suitcase but with the packing cubes and all its pockets and compartments it fit so much more than my old one ever could.
I took it with me to a four-day holiday to the Blue Mountains and I still somehow managed to overpack, just by packing the 40L bag and my pillow.
Before the trip I thought having too many pockets would be impossible but while driving I needed something out of my bag and my fiancé attempted to retrieve it for me. Locating the item proved to be a challenge due to all the zips and pockets in pockets.
Fortunately, the zips held up well and are smooth and functional.
The Backpack easily and safely fit my laptop, headphones, and charging cable along with clothes, books, toiletries, and shoes for my short getaway. On further investigation, I found Bagsmart have a range of other backpacks that would be more suitable for everyday use.
I liked that the front straps and buckle could be tucked away into the lining of the pack for personal preference. However, I did feel that the fit was quite clunky when packed and worn on the shoulders.
Takeways
The Blue 40L Blast Pro Backpack was
- able to fit my laptop, lunchbox and water bottle
- clunky to carry when I packed it full, and
- not useful for everyday use but useful for travelling
The combination of the Backpack and Travel Packing Cubes
- gave me more than enough pockets to put things in, and
- was good for short trips.
I look forward to using the 40L Blast Pro Backpack in my future travels and recommend it for those of you who want a convenient, quality, spacious travelling companion.
